ANNUAL DINNER 2008
THANK YOU to all the guests, sponsors, and volunteers who helped
make our 2008 Annual Awards Dinner such a success!
(Event photos coming soon!)
On May 2, 2008, almost 700 people gathered in the Washington
State Convention and Trade Center for a celebration of
those who have the courage to work for freedom, justice, and
democracy for ALL. We welcomed representatives
from
community, government, faith, education,
labor and business sectors. It was a night full of good
company, inspiring stories of action, and lively music. We
were also happy to welcome Gov. Chris Gregoire
as we celebrate her signing of the New Americans
Executive Order, making her only the fourth governor in
the country to do so (Press
Release).
Our Annual Dinner is an opportunity for our community to
come together and reflect on the
future of the growing movement for social justice.
Together, we recognize those who have fought for justice,
reflect on the successes and challenges of this past year, and
build strength for the ongoing struggle for justice for all.
This year, we are proud to recognize the following individuals
and organizations:
